Let me know when there's a thought to follow.
"Thought leader is business jargon for an entity that is recognized by peers for having innovative ideas. Thought leaders often publish articles and blog posts on trends and topics influencing an industry." - Wikipedia
So perhaps just a leader? Forbes has an annoyingly in depth article on the word that, in my opinion, sort of goes nowhere. You can almost play jingo bingo with the last sentence alone, "For any individual or any organization to be a thought leader it’s especially critical that they monetize their state-of-the-art thinking by increasing their ability to source, work with and profit from their target markets."
I find Bruce Sterling's recent interview about science fiction more on topic as he addresses that individuals in a creative function need to spread that creativity across a much wider space than was previously expected. I think there's some truth to that in the idea of a business thought leader as well as a science fiction writer.
Snarky: He said I should be a thoughtleader. Welcome to being a thoughtfollower.
